The Sisu Foundation Today

Today the SISU Foundation is governed by a board of directors, led by Board President Mark Hooley, and Executive Director Ben Popp.  Formed in 2009,  SISU drew on the values and 20 year history of Avho Taipale and the Sisu Skiers to begin fulfilling it’s mission throughout St. Paul, Minnesota, the Midwest and ultimately as an example nationwide.  Outdoor enthusiasts, beginners, youth of all abilities and experience, weekend warriors, elite athletes, citizen racers – SISU programming reaches all types of community members who are interested in being active, living healthy, and conserving the natural environment we recreate in.  The SISU Foundation continues to plan new opportunities while monitoring existing initiatives in an effort to increase accessibility and participation.
